Shamrock Disc Bracket Clasp Card

Scalloped disc (3” diam) with offset plain inner circle
and offset smaller center circle with stylized shamrock design
compose the St. Patrick’s Day design for this 5x7 size card kit.
Substitute a different top disc, change color scheme,
and the components become very versatile for other holidays,
seasons or occasions.
Card base front edges have classic bracket shaping,
with ribbon slots to accept a loop of narrow accent ribbon
across gap to close the card.
Optional little shamrock accents can adorn the interior accent
panel where it shows thru between flaps.
An oval sentiment panel can be hidden by widest front panel,
or attached behind the front panel.

ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:
A main card base (one piece or two pieces to join)
B flap bracket edge trim (2)
C interior offset accent rectangle
D opt. sentiment oval
E-G scallop, plain and shamrock discs
2. If using 2 pieces for base, bend the attachment
side flange back, then position and attach two panels
along side seam.
3. Position and attach bracket flap edge trim shapes,
taking care to match outer edges, slots as precisely
as possible. Consider pressing under a flat heavy
weight during each assembly addition to help
maintain flat card.
4. Position and attach the interior accent shape,
centering it between top and bottom edges, and
between flap perforation lines. Consider using
"dry" adhesive tape to avoid warping of large rectangle.
5. If using the optional oval sentiment panel,
determine where you wish to have it added --
either at backside of the wider front panel, or . . .
. . . on the interior accent panel, behind the wider
flap, where it will not be seen until card is opened,
and attach in place.
6. Assemble the shamrock disc by centering
and attaching the shamrock disc, plain contrast
"show-thru" disc, and scalloped disc.
Consider pressing under flap weight until dry.
7. Close the card by bending the side flaps inward
toward center. Position the assembled disc on
the wider half, centered top to bottom, and also
from side to side on the flap's width in
a pleasing position, and attach.
Position and attach small shamrock accents where
interior accent panel shows through, above and
below bracket flaps that nearly touch each other.
8. With a narrow length of ribbon (approx. 8-9" long)
prepare the ribbon latch by folding in half, then
inserting the cut ends front-to-back through narrow flap's
slot. Pull ribbon length through until
only a short loop remains, then . . .
. . .  insert and pass cut ends through
other (wider) flap slots, back-to-front.
9. Re-direct the ends back to the right
to pass them through the loop, then . . .
. . . cinch the loop down as flat as possible
while working the tails ends to card front
and then toward right until as tight as possible.
Trim excess right ends approx. 1" beyond right
flap PERFORATION fold edge.
10. Add embellishments as desired, such as
contrast decorative studs over the punch holes
on bracket trim, tiny studs within the "petals"
of the lyric shamrock.
