Valentine A2 Card Contour Hearts

 

Fashion print sets tone for the contours-divided heart 

focal point, elegantly displaying a gradation of neutrals 

(or colors of choice). 

Duplicate and stack shapes for dimensional depth 

as desired, such as smallest heart and contour heart base. 

Card front panel separate shape is included with 

contour heart center position guides. 

Nifty smaller-format card is great as thank you, 

condolence, get well or friendship card, 

or Valentine note to accompany the “main” gift. 

Optional shapes not used in sample card include 

oval and rectangle edge rims. 

Card measures approx. 5.5” wide x 4.25” tall 

when top-folded. 

ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:

A card base with top fold cross perforation

B card front panel with heart positioning guide marks

C oval frame

D contour heart base (offset at outer edges) - 

4 shapes for thickness build up

E contour shapes 1-4

F heart (4 to layer for thickness)

2. Layer and attach the heart shapes into one stack,

taking care to align all cut edges as precisely as possible.

Immediately press the stacked heart under a flat,

heavy object such as a thick book with something

heave placed on top of it, and leave in place until

the heart is completely dried. This could require

several hours or over night.

3. Layer and attach the heart base shape into

a stack in the same manner. Press under

a flat weight until dry.

4. Prepare to assemble the contour accent shapes

onto the foundation heart by locating the upper

and lower 'v' guide marks. Then . . .

. . . position corresponding upper "valley"

and lower "corner" of the middle shape edges

at the guide marks as it is attached in place.

5. Position and attach the other accent contour

shapes and heart accent in relation to first contour

shape attached, leaving narrow margin between,

matching the margin at contour accent edges

between each shape.

6. Prepare to position and attach the smallest (red)

heart by locating the guide marks on the heart

contour, then . . .

. . . position and attach using guide marks to assist.

7. Prepare the front panel by positioning and attaching

the oval frame panel onto the front of the separate

card front panel, with narrow margin at edge,

and attach in place.

8. Prepare the attach the contour heart element onto

the card front panel by locating the guide marks

on the front panel, then . . .

. . . position and attach where guide marks show.

Press the assembly under heavy flat weight until

completely dried.

9. Position and attach front panel assembly onto

front of folded card base, with edges even.
