Snowman Threesome 3D Box Card

Two smiling buddies peek around the shoulders
of a snowy friend to deliver a "warm" hello greeting
in this dimensional "card-in-a-box".
Two bridges intersect the box interior to hold
the snowmen in place, with the front figure
attached behind front panel.
Side flaps are shaped to hold three layered snowballs.
Measures approx. 7.5" tall x 2.5" wide x 2.5" opened.

ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:
A main box body with front, side and behind-back
accent shapes
B inner back panel accent shape
C side flap accent shapes
D snowballs and contrast underlays (6)
E snowflake arch accenty
F 1st snowman body, head and detail shapes
G 2nd snowman and bridge
H 3rd snowman and bridge
I front hearts tag base offset
J hearts base/back heart reveal
K front heart acccent
L letter cuts "warm" & "hello"
M "warm" letters positioning guide
Here are the snowman shapes in detail.
Assemble each of the three snowmen
on the varied body bases.
Below is the front snowman.
2. Prepare the main box body shape by bending
back on all wall division & tab perforations,
bend side flaps down.
3. Position front and side panel accent shapes offset
within the defining wall perforations or edges,
except for back panel accent which extends
to be even with the bottom of the box base.
4. Prepare the inner main box by positioning
and attaching the inside back panel accent
(even at bottom edges). Also position and attach
the side flap accent shapes, centered, with
top straight edge at perforation, and snowflake
arch at top of back panel.
5. Form the box into a tube to bring the straight
side edge to overlap back edge tab
to perforation line, and glue seam.
NOTE that the box can be flattened
for easier applying of pressure to
ensure a secure seam.
6. Prepare snowflake accent shapes by
layering a contrast liner circle behind the
front shape. Complete 6.
7. Position and attach the snowflakes
at the bottom of the flap accent shapes,
lower edges even, and with highlight crescents
oriented in the same direction, as shown.
8. Prepare each of two bridges by bending back
side tabs back.
Identify the bridges for positioning by locating
the numeral on the tab.
9. Position the right leaning snowman
(matches the torso extension of the bridge)
on bridge no. 2, bottom edges even,
and overlapping torso portions matched.
10. Position the left leaning snowman
onto bridge no. 3 in similar fashion.
11. Add accent nail heads at snowflake arch
centers, if desired.
12. Insert bridge no. 3 into the interior of the box,
parallel to the front and back panels,
and glue tabs to inner side panels at the
one-third-from-back position.
Make sure that the top of the bridge at
tab perforation is even with the flap fold edge
on each side.
Before the adhesive is fully set,
collapse the box card to its flattened position
to apply pressure at the tab seams locations
which may allow for some self-adjusting
of the tabs attachment.
13. Insert bridge no. 2 in similar fashion,
positioning it halfway between bridge no. 3
and front panel.
14. Locate the position cut marks on the front
of the first snowman, then . . .
. . . insert, center and adjust so that the guide marks
are at the top of front panel,
and tag punch circles align,
then glue in place.
NOTE: for added dimension,
consider using foam squares to attach
the front snowman in place,
leavingthe tab punch hole areas clear.
15. Prepare the front hearts tag by assembling
the hearts base onto offset base
(align punch holes),
and front heart over hearts base,
with corresponding cut edges lined up.
16. Prepare to attach the "warm" letters by
lining up the bottom outer edges of the
positioning guide over the heart shapes
as shown, securing in place, then position
each letter at the letters opening and glue in place.
Remove the placement guide when completed.
17. Position and attach the "hello" work cut
below the "warm" letters.
18. Position the hearts tag onto the front of box,
secure with adhesive, and attach with
mini brad at punch hole.
Here is the completed box card open . . .
. . . and here is the box card collapsed
and closed for sending or delivering.
