Spring Greens Ring Wreath

Layers of spring leaves and twigs (three different styles)
that can be a candle mat, or a flat “nest” wreath
for the Egg 3D Forms for Candle Stand top decor.

Add “found” artificial berry sprigs for extra color if desired.
Measures approx. 7.75” x 7” plus add-on trailing vine.

ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:
A leaf ring base (one whole shape)
B leaf ring layer 2, 2 halves
C small leaf ring layer 3, 2 halves
D small leaf ring layer 4, 2 halves
E ferny cascade stem (4 or more)
2. Shape the leaf extensions by scoring down
the center of each, then bending as "valley"
fold slightly.
Consider adding downward curl to the leaf base
and . . .
. . . a little upward curl at the leaf tip.
If your candle ring will not be kept flat on
table top surface, for instance, add some curl
to the stem portion to help the leaf stems
cascade downward for more dimension.
3. Prepare to join the leaf half rings by identifying
the overlapping ends circle punch registration
symbols, and the inward nib that will help
with rotation alignment.
'
4. Overlap and glue the ends together to form
a whole ring unit, matching up the circle punches
as precisely as possible.
5. Layer the leaf ring layer 2 over the ring base,
matching up the circle hole punches of each layer,
and also the inward nib edges, and glue the ring
portions together.
6. Repeat for the other ring layers to attach
all four layers together.
7. If using the ring with the candle stand,
center it on the stand platform as shown, then . . .
. . . preview where the cascading ferny stems
will be placed -- either over the top of the rings
as shown here, at regular spacing around, or . . .
. . . under the rings assembly as shown here.
Here again is the completed ring with 4 ferny
cascade stems (use more for a fuller ring), and . . .
. . . here with the diamonds and stripes
Egg 3D Form design, on top of
the candle stand project.
