the coordinated Card Ornament Holder
5x7 design.
If preferred, ornament bases included without hook,
with punch hole
instead.
Optional backside panel folds to create a shallow pocket
to tuck a
folded cash bill inside – or a plastic gift card
(this will show from
front).
Ornament with hook measures approx. 3.75” wide x 5.4” tall.
ASSEMBLY: 1. Begin assembly with the ornament main base,
checker and plain (letter cutout) panels, letter, collar.
NOTE: some of the lowercase letters (g, o, p, s & y)
will bisect the right panel vertical inward edge in a way
that produces a "floating" panel piece which will need
to be retained during cutting, positioned into the "interior"
of letter cutout once it is placed and attached onto panel.
Additionally, many of the panels will have fragile
narrow necks that wrap around letters that will require
careful handling.
Layer and attach the collar first below hook extension,
where cut edges align. Next, position and attach checker
and plain/cutout panels below collar, with curved outer
edges aligned with corresponding base edges.
Finally, position the initial letter where cutout edges
indicate, and attach in place; also position any
"floating" panel shapes that will fit into interior
letter cutouts.
(NOTE that if an adjusted position for initial letter
is preferred, a "solid" (without cutout) right side
panel is also included in the cut file.)
2. Position the main ornament assembly onto
the front of the offset contrast base, center from
side to side, and . . .
. . . match up hook edges precisely,
and attach in place.
Place assembly on a flat surface and press under
a heavy flat object while next components are assembled.
3. Prepare the layered holly sprig . . .
. . . by centering the vein cutout face shape onto
the offset contrast base, single berry onto
the triple berry base, and attaching each in place.
4. Position the berries unit onto the top of sprigs unit
and attach in place.
5. Position the berries/holly accent onto the front of
the ornament main assembly, and attach in place.
(If this completes your selected assembly choices,
PRESS under flat heavy weight until thoroughly dry -
up to several hours or overnight.)
6. If desired, prepare the bill cash holder back panel
by bending the panel as shown - valley fold mid perf line,
mountain fold lower perf line.
Add a narrow line of adhesive along curved side edges
of "back" panel, then . . .
. . . close the panel into its layered form and
apply pressure where the adhesive is underneath.
7. Turn the assembly face down to apply adhesive
to the exposed margin at curved side edges,
and all over back surface, then . . .
. . . position on the backside of main assembly,
centered, with outer curved edges of all aligned.
(Also position and attach the optional separate
hook reinforcement shape - see final image of
this assembly guide.)
Press the entire assembly under heavy flat weight
until completely dry to avoid warping or curling.
Make your ornament or gift tag extra special by
folding a bill into vertical quarters and tucking
into the shallow back pocked created by
folded panel.
Alternatively, a standard plastic gift card
can also be tucked into the pocket, but
the GC will show from the front view of ornament.
Here is the backside view of the ornament
finished with the hook reinforcement and
cash pocket back panel.
