Hearts Intertwined Square Card

 

Choose two closely-shaded papers of selected color 

to created focal element of this 5.5” x 5.5” square card. 

Celtic-style medallion is centered within 

a scalloped window frame. 

Closely graded coloration creates an illusion of intertwining. 

Make it a unique Valentine card. 

Also appropriate for friendship celebration, wedding, 

get well or birthday.

ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:

A card base (as side fold for the sample card)

B scalloped window frame mat

C opt. frame mat underlay for contrast

D intertwined hearts medallion silhouette base

E left heart loop overlay (4)

F right heart loop overlay (4)

G "berries" trio overlay (4)

H single "berry" overlay (4)

2. If using the contrast mat underlay, position the scallop

window frame over the underlay and glue together.

3. If desired, shade the portions that look as if

they are underlapping adjacent edges,

on left, right and medallion left point sections.

For each of the quarter portions of the medallion

base, position a left and a right overlay over the segments

where they correspond and glue in place.

Also position the trio berries and the single berry

over corresponding positions on base and

glue in place.

4. Position the medallion inside the scalloped window

so that it is centered (HINT: check berries "points"

to align at diagonals, directly under the scallops

as indicated by pointing finger.

5. Position and attach front panel assembly onto

front of folded card base.
