Pair
of “turtle doves” create a tag for
Twelve Days of Christmas gifting.
Left-facing dove has decorated body and wing layers.
Right dove is simplified.
Both are arranged on narrow offset bases.
Optional
back base panel includes
cross perforation to fold away to reveal “name” or
sentiment disc inside tag.
Hang hole at center top for attaching twine.
Coordinates well with “Tray 3D Oval Dove
Ends” container.
Measures approx. 3.375” wide x 3.5” tall
(including hang tab)
when assembled.
ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:
A right-facing dove body
B right-facing dove base (shows through as tail tip margin)
C wing D wing base (shows through as wing tip margin)
E left-facing dove body with cutouts
F left-facing dove base
G left-facing wing with cutouts
H left-facing dove base
I swirl accent detail J hearts and dots accent details
K tag offset front base with hanger
L tag back base with hanger and perforation
to allow bending open
M interior label or sentiment panel
2. Layer each dove assembly by positioning and attaching
the body over contrast base, aligning edges, except
where margins are exposed. Repeat to layer wing
and wing base.
Here, at left is the assembled right-facing dove,
and at right is the layered components.
3. Position and attach the wing unit onto the body assembly.
4. Position and glue eyes in place, and other
accent details.
5. Position and attach the right-facing dove onto
the tag base front, within the corresponding offset
edges.
6. Position and attach the left-facing dove over
the first dove, within the corresponding offset edges.
7. Prepare the back tag base by bending forward
on the cross-perforation. Then . . .
. . . position and attach the oval label on the underside
of the back base, below the perforation line.
8. Position the upper back face of the back tag base
to align with corresponding edges of front tag base
backside, and glue together.
Add twine or ribbon as hanger.
