Create this 5x7 finished size special occasion
card
to express the joy of the golden anniversary,
featuring front layered
window and cut-in flourished
heart panels (use a fresh sharp blade), outline
heart,
single numerals with welded ‘50’ number base,
folded double-ended banner
and top “celebrate” welded
word (with some separate letters to overlay if
desired).
Use Silhouette Studio tools to prepare a “print & cut” banner
with names of the couple, or hand-pen if preferred.
Since there many are other
“milestone” anniversaries
to commemorate, other single or paired numbers
are
included: 1, 5, 10, 25 and 40.
(A companion set of single numerals with offset
base shapes is also available to modify this card
for birthdays or other
significant events.)
Card measures approx. 5” x 7” when fully assembled.
ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:
A card front panel with heart window cut out
B card second layer front with flourished heart
C card base for 5x7 card when folded
D heart window offset outline
E "celebrate" word cut out with opt. extra
overlay letters c, l, b, a & e
F '50' numerals and welded offset base shape
G folded two-ended banner shape
(personalize this card by using "print & cut" software
tools, stamping or hand writing name of married
couple, or card recipient(s).
2. Position the card front panel over the flourished
heart design cut out second layer, align outer edges,
and attach in place where they overlap.
NOTE that the front panel opening is slightly
offset to reveal a narrow margin of second panel.
3. Position and attach the (gold) heart outline
shape around the cut out heart window of
front panel, with narrow margin all around
within the heart outline next to window edge.
4. Prepare the 'celebrate' word cut out assembly
and '50' numbers assembly by positioning and
attaching letters or numbers over the corresponding
base shapes. Numbers will be offset; optional
extra letters will overlay exactly.
5. Prepare the folded banner by bending the center
pair of fold lines back (mountain folds) and
the outward pair of fold lines forward (valley folds).
If desired, some of the dimensionality and "springy-ness"
can be managed by applying a dot of glue behind
the inward fold created by perf lines (centered),
then re-folding and applying pressure to keep the banner
ends secured in their folded positions.
6. Finish the assembly of the card by positioning
and centering the front panel assembly onto
the folded card base, with offset margin all around
front panel between cut edges and fold.
Next, position (centered) and attach the word cut
and '50' numbers onto the front panel.
7. Finish by positioning (centered) the folded
names banner onto the lower portion of card
and attaching ends in place.
Here is the completed card.
Pretty!
