bottom width 3.625”, and holds approx. 8.5 oz of treats.
Snowman character box details include: wrap over rim,
fold-around stocking hat “point” with tassel circle end

Penguin box details include: wrap over rim,
fold-around stocking hat “point” with tassel circle end
(or add miniature pompom glued to end),
face front panel overlay with cut-out eye circles,
dimensional pointed beak, scarf wrap strip and
overlay knot and streamers.

NOTE: Step by step assembly will be shown for
the Snowman treat box. Variations will be shown
for the other two: Santa (Step 20) and Penguin (Step 27).

ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes for Snowman:
A box front, side & bottom panel
B box back and side panel
C front (face) panel
D eye & smile contrast underlay for front panel
E dimensional nose
F scarf band   G scarf knot, streamers
H interior bottom reinforcement panel
I box rim strip main and separate section
J hat with tassel ball
--OR--
Identify and cut the shapes for Santa:
A box front, side & bottom panel with
interior bottom reinforcement panel
B box back and side panel
C front (beard) panel
D mustache    E face underlay
F beard detail cutouts contrast underlay
G eye contrast underlay for front panel
H box rim strip main and separate section
I hat with tassel ball
--OR--
Identify and cut the shapes for the Penguin:
A box front, side & bottom panel
B box back and side panel
C front body panel overlay
D face front panel underlay
E dimensional nose
F eye contrast underlay
G scarf band  H scarf knot, streamers
I interior bottom reinforcement panel
J box rim strip main and separate section
K hat with tassel ball
The sample projects include these .75" pompom balls
as hat tassels, purchased from Michael's.
(Alternative circles to cut from paper and attach
as tassels are included in cut file.)
2. Prepare the box hull shapes by bending back on
all perforation lines for panels and flange tabs.
3. Align the straight side edge of one shape to overlap
edge flange of other shape, adjust . . .
. . . for top to bottom
alignment, then join side seam.
4. Form the hull into a tube to align and join second
side seam. Symmetry of shape allows it to be
pressed flat to apply fingertip pressure along seam.
5. Prepare the face panel by positioning and attaching
the contrast underlay behind  with nose triangle cut out
and tab slot of each aligned as precisely as possible.
As the shapes are joined, use a blade-style tool
inserted in slot to make sure it is aligned to
be completely open to accent nose tab.
6. Prepare dimensional nose by bending back on
all perforations for wedge panels, side flange and
bottom tabs.
7. Form the nose shape into a cone, with straight
side edge overlapping side edge tab opposite to
perforation line, then join seam.
NOTE: it may be helpful to insert a pointed narrow
tool such as a fine gauge knitting needle or skewer
into the come to provide press-against surface.
8. Position nose on front of face, insert bottom
tab into tab slot, then tip nose . . .
. . . into position with
side/top tabs inserted into triangle cutout.
On panel backside, bend tabs back and glue in place.
9. Position face panel onto front hull panel, adjust
to achieve even narrow offset edge margin,
then attach securely in place. (If using liquid adhesive,
use heavy objects around nose to help keep flat
while drying and avoid warping or curling.
10. Reconfigure the hull back into its full volume form,
then bend bottom flanges inward, bend bottom panel
into position to attach edges in place.
Reach into interior to apply pressure along the three
flanges to secure in place.
11. Position and attach bottom accent square into box.
12. Prepare scarf strip by bending back slightly on
angled, short perforations.
Assemble knot and streamers by positioning
knots of streamer shapes one on top of the other . . .
. . . (align the tiny triangle symbols which point to
top edge) then position and attach knot shape
on top with top edges aligned.
13. Position scarf strip across front panel and adjust
top-to-bottom positioning so that perf bends fit snugly
at box edges, and glue in place. Bend each end back
to attach to box side panels, adjusting to ensure that
that lower edge of strip is parallel to bottom of box.
14. Position and attach knot/streamers to scarf
strip and front panel.
15. Prepare top rim strip shapes by bending top tabs
and bottom flanges back; also bend at short vertical
perf lines and tabs.
NOTE that bottom "flange" edges can be identified
by tiny single or double half-circle "bite" cutouts.
16. Assemble the rim into a ring by joining the short
and long strips, then . . .
. . . apply glue to backsides of all bottom flanges
and bend back to attach to backside of strips.
NOTE it may be helpful to place each face of "ring"
face down on flat surface to apply fingertip pressure
to flange from backside.
17. Fit the rim ring assembly onto top of box,
with top-edge tab/flanges directed to the inside,
push down into place fully, then apply glue to tabs
backside and attach in place to inside faces of hull.
18. Prepare the hat shape by bending back on all
perforation lines.
NOTE that the bottom triangle panels will eventually
be folded back behind the hat triangles and glued
to each other. It will be helpful to wait to glue these
together in final positions until hat is in place on hull.
19. Apply glue to top tabs (underside), then . . .
. . . position and attach at front corner of box as shown.
Bend tabs back to inside of rim and attach in place.
20. Apply quick-grab craft glue to tip or hat OR
pompom ball, then . . .
. . . press ball onto hat tip and hold in place until secure.
Here is the Snowman box completed.
SANTA BOX
Follow Steps 2-4 for Snowman box.
21. Prepare face underlay panel by inverting upper
and lower panels face down on work surface and
placing a small piece of cello tape across joint as
means of keeping together until glued to beard shape.
22.  Turn underlay panel face up, then positioning
(centered) beard shape over underlay and attaching.
On backside, position and attach eye contrast shape
over eye cut outs, taking care to keep clear
of nose cutout.
23. Position and attach mustache across panel,
with top center curved edge aligning precisely
with nose cut out (make sure it is level crosswise).
24. Position and attach painted wood button into
nose cut out hole, using appropriate adhesive.
NOTE that attachment of nose button may be best
accomplished after the hull assembly is complete,
to allow pressing of glued-up shapes flat.
25. Position and attach front panel onto front of
assembled box . . .
. . . with narrow margins maintained around edges.
26. Continue assembly similar to Snowman box
from Step 15 to the end.
Here is the completed Santa box.
PENGUIN BOX
Follow Steps 2-4 for Snowman box.
27. Center body front (black) on top of face (white)
underlay and attach in place.
28. Refer to Steps 7-8 to prepare the dimensional
nose shape . . .
. . . and insert tabs into front panel assembly and
attach tabs on backside.
Position and attach eye contrast strip behind eyes.
29. Follow assembly steps 10-20 to complete Penguin.
Here is the completed Penguin box.
