Prepare it as a St. Patrick’s Day
“toasting” treat by adding
the “Happy St. Patrick’s Circle Tag” to front
(with
three-side band on back and sides),
with tied ribbon bow on handle.
Measures
approx. 8” tall x 2.5” x 2.5” when finished.
ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:
A hull back and sides B hull front and bottom
C bottom interior reinforcement square
D top tote handle accent reinforcement
E three-sided accent band
F medallion base scalloped circle
G medallion layer 2 plain circle
H medallion "Happy St. Patrick's" letters disc
I center faux stitching disc J shamrock
. . . position and attach the center faux stitching disc,
and finally . . .
. . . position and attach the shamrock shape
over the center, hiding the hole.

2. To prepare the medallion, organize the discs,
then layer the large layer 2 plain circle on top
of the scallop disc, using the center punch holes
to help align accurately.
3. Position and attach the letter disc, then . . . . . . position and attach the center faux stitching disc,
and finally . . .
. . . position and attach the shamrock shape
over the center, hiding the hole.
4. Prepare the two hull main shapes by bending
back on all perforation lines for panels
and flanges.
5. Position the front/bottom straight side edgeover one side flange of the back/sides shape,
adjusting so that bottom straight edge or
perforation line up, and glue seam.
6. At the top handle panel, bend the extension
forward while also . . .
. . . bending the lower tab extension back
and up between the two layers of tote handle . . .
. . . then glue the fold-over handle area in placeon the backside of the hull back panel.
(The tucked tab helps provide a less "sharp"
edge where fingers may press against.)
7. Bend the angled side rim flanges back and
glue in place against inside edge of side panel.
8. Form the hull into a cube tube to bring together
the front's side straight edge and the side flange,
adjust and glue together.
9. At bottom panel, bend the side flanges inward
to tuck inside of side walls and glue in place,
while at the same time, tucking the back latch
into the back slot and gluing latch panel to back.
10. On front panel, bend the front rim flange
back to the inside and glue in place.
11. Bend the tote handle accent shape backon horizontal center perf line, then position
at tote top fold edge, wrap over the edge
with side edges aligned, and glue in place.
12. Prepare the accent band by bending back
on the vertical perf lines.
Wrap the strip around front and sides as shown
here, or . . .
. . . across back and around sides as has been
done with the sample project, and glue in place.
13. Apply glue to the underside, then insert
the bottom reinforcement square into the tote hull
and push fully into the bottom to attach and
strengthen bottom.
15. Position and attach the medallionon the front of the tote.
Here is the completed tote, ready . . .
. . . to fill and decorate as a fun gift.
