Small
2.5” x 2.5” footprint boxes in three variation
each have quick and easy assembly,
with side flaps bending
back into place
to be held in place by tiny brads (this fastener style allows
boxes
to be de-constructed for re-use next year).
Front duplicate character panel holds pupil circles in
cut outs with cheek and beak, nose single or double layers
added as overlays. "Arm” shapes overlay front panel
at lower edge to hold egg, two-part carrot, or three-part tulip.
Add optional name oval at top back to
use this design
as place card for table setting.
The Chick treat box will be demonstrated thoroughly,
with differences or variations for the other two following.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:
A main box hull B face front plate
C left and right wings
D face features: eye circles, cheek ovals, beak
E egg
NOT SHOWN: optional name oval
segment, sides, front and back, side "wing" tabs.
3. Assemble the face features onto the face plate:

. . . bend the side front "wing" inward in similar manner.
Insert small brad through holes of all layers
and secure on box's inside.
6. Repeat to assemble other side.

ReplyDeleteCan I please ask about one of your older files Jodi? I purchased Design ID 131399 Mother Panels Card from the Silhouette Design Store but I am having trouble with it. There are only solid panels, no "window" pieces with the swing mechanism. Can you please assist me?
I am looking at this old file and have some questions myself. Let me look into it to see if I can find any notes. Sorry for the confusion.
DeleteAs I look at the file that I downloaded from Silhouette America's online store, and read the design description there, I don't think it was intended to be a design with "open" windows with a swing mechanism to hole the letters within the bracket frame. I can see how that would be confusing because the illustration (not a project photo, I'm afraid). We could make it into that kind of a design with open windows and "dangling" letters in thread or wires. I can make that modification and will probably do that and re-submit the design separately in its new format. However, it seems unfair that you would need to re-purchase the design. Therefore, if you want to email me with a request, I can email back the new, modified window with swing mechanism. Email me: hearthsewnpatterns@yahoo.com
DeleteBut first, I need to make sure we are on the same page. YOU wish the letters to be on a thread or other mechanism that would allow them to "swing" or I would say twirl within the frame window - is that correct?
Thank you for checking this out for me Jodi :)
DeleteYes, I thought it was a "swing" card, with the white areas "open" space and the letter panels secured in place under the sections where the flower clusters are at the top & bottom of each panel. The "dangling" design sounds like fun too.
I'm sorry for my confusion and appreciate your assistance.
Sending an email through now :)
