Envelope Oversize Disc with Twine Closure

Classic rounded flap styling with raised discs and
attached twine for closing with optional “Gingerbread”
trim strip for flap accent.
Measures approx. 6.5” wide x 7.75” tall when fully closed.
Designed to fit “House Gabled Pop Out Card”.
For more information about that card, follow this LINK.

ASSEMBLY: 1Identify and cut the shapes:
R envelope front with attached flap, side & bottom flanges
S envelope back panel
T optional "gingerbread" trim strip for flap
U disc assemblies - 2 sets of 2 large & 3-4 small
Also shown: 2 contrast reg. size eyelets, 9-10" twine
2. Prepare the envelope front panel by bending back
 flap and all 3 flanges.
3. Position the trim strip across flap, keeping it
parallel to the flap bend line, and moving it to
where side edges of flap and trim align; attach.
4. Assemble the two discs:
A) layer large discs and join together, taking care
to align all cut edges; press flat under a heavy
flat weight until thoroughly dry.
B) layer small discs and join in similar manner.
C) position small stack behind large stack,
align hole cut out edges and glue together; press.
5. Begin envelope assembly by inserting eyelet
through disc stack hole from front/large disc side.
6. Position one disc assembly over back panel
front face and insert eyelet into hole.
7. Reverse panel to be face down then use setting tool
to attach eyelet. (Take care not to smash eyelet,
but make sure it is secure.)
8. For flap disc, insert the end of 9-10" length of
regular gauge twine through hole first, then insert
eyelet/discs assembly and set eyelet so that twine
is securely "caught" and attached.
9. Bend side flanges inward, and use tool to crease.
10. Position card back over front, with side flanges
in between, then adjust so that bottom edge clears
bottom flange perforation enough to bend that flange
up into position in next step. Securely glue side seams.
11. Apply glue then bend bottom flange up into
position. Crease for crisp fold. Press under heavy
flat weight until all seams are flat and secure.
12. Insert contents, close flap, then . . .
. . . wrap twine around discs in figure 8.
Trim excess twine length as needed.
Here is the closed envelope, ready to give.
This oversize envelope coordinates well with
the Card 3D Gabled House Pop Out.
