Piecing the flying geese unit with traditional patchwork methods
usually involves joining two smaller triangles to the corners of a larger "geese" triangle.
Another method involves tracing diagonal lines on two smaller squares
and then joining them to the corners of a larger rectangle.
Machine paper foundation is a fun and accurate, often quicker way
to create the sections you may need for a quilt panel border.
The border sections shown at the top of this blog will soon be available from
SnapDragon Snippets through the Silhouette America online store.
You can also plan a quilt of vertical rows of flying geese as a quilt center panel.
