One-piece hull
with accent shapes has multiple, angled
perforation lines to allow lower
hex-based compartment
to be formed, with scalloped opening (top)
edge flanges
which cinch inward. Pairs of punch holes
are threaded with cord and tied to
secure.
Front panel includes a see-thru egg-shaped window
(with clear acetate
or vinyl “liner” panel) to allow
box contents to be viewed.
Add optional
contrast accent rounded-corner offset
rectangles to side panels and triangle
accents
above side panels (while hull is still flat).
Loopy edged egg overlay
is attached over
front opening as accent.
Box measures approx. 3” deep x 3.4”
wide x
5.25” tall when closed. Side panels are approx. 3.125” tall.
ASSEMBLY: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:
A box hull B lower panel accent overlays (5)
C lower window panel accent overlay
D scalloped egg window accent frame
E clear window panel "liner"
F upper triangle panel accent overlays (6)
2. Follow this LINK to view an earlier duffle style
gift box that has similar assembly steps, then
refer to steps 2 & 3 to fold the hull shape.
3. Prepare the clear window panel by applying
appropriate dry adhesive within 1/8" of panel edges,
and also around the edge of the egg-shaped window.
Position on backside of panel, between perforations
the accent with egg window cutout) within the perforation
lines that define each panel shape. Position and
attach the upper triangle panels in similar manner.
5. Position and attach the scalloped window frame
on the front side at the window opening edges.
6. Refer to the other project post LINK then follow steps 5
through to the end to complete the assembly of
the egg window duffle box.
