Ornament 3D Drop Crystal

Dimensional crystal ornament is formed as six points come together
with added offset contrast accents in one or more prints
(consider up-cycling Christmas greeting card panels),
with optional tassel at bottom.
Thread cord or ribbon through center, add bow
and decorative hook or loop at top.
Ornament measures approx. 4.875” tall x 2.75”
diameter when assembled.

INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Identify and cut the shapes:
A ornament body
B lower facet accent overlays (6)
C Upper facet accent overlays l & r pairs (6 sets)
2. Prepare the body by bending back on all perforation
lines for panels and tabs, THEN . . .
. . . re-direct the bends on the upper portion so that
the line between the points bends forward
as "valley" fold.
3. Position and attach the upper accent pairs onto
the corresponding panels defined by the cut edges
or perforation lines, with narrow offset margins around.
Also position and attach the lower overlay accents.
4. Begin to form the crystal shape by bending on
perforations, with tab bent back slightly, to bring
the straight edge of second point to overlap adjacent
tab to perforation line, and glue in place.
5. Repeat this alignment to join the seam three more times.
6. When only the final "seam" is un-joined, there
will be three segments of the seam to join.
These can be left un-connected and the knotted end
of bottom tassel and of top hanging loop array
inserted, then the seam completed to hold the knot
inside the hull, or . . .
. . . the tassel can be prepared with a long cord
to be threaded onto long doll needle and inserted
through the point tip upward and out the top "hole".
Complete the ornament decoration as desired,
including possibly adding a bead, hang loop
and tied ribbon bow, as shown on the sample project.

    1. These cut files (svgs) are now available only from Silhouette America. Search for SnapDragon Snippets under the "artists" tab.

    1. Our designs are cut files available as svg downloads through Silhouette America. They are designed to be used with the die cut system called Cameo from Silhouette America.
